State of the Studios Address Week of November 26, 2018 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Planting of palm tree foliage has been a main focus of workers this week with Disney’s Skyliner station. Along with this landscaping, a new roof line trim surface in contrasting color is being applied by contractors. Click the link below for full coverage.

Construction crews are busy with the installation of additional landscaping foliage around the perimeter of the new Disney resort bus transportation center. The Park’s center stage has returned to its’ prominent location after the conclusion of walkway concrete renovation. Guests can once again enjoy  colorful Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away daily shows. This massive three section mobile staging is removed nightly.

Parking operating hours for the week of November 19, 2018  have been extended. Guests can now enjoy their Thanksgiving holiday visit until 9 pm closing nightly. Park closing returns to 8 pm on November 25.

A new structure is on the rise directly outside the guest exit of Tatooine Traders shop. Workers have completed a foundation and vertical metal framing. The function of this new structure is yet to be confirmed. 

The park’s 30th year anniversary celebration will include a new logo. The grand unveiling of the new design will be on January 18, 2019. Stay tuned to Hollywood Studios HQ for 30th year anniversary updates.

Guests can anticipate an all new projection nighttime show to being in May 2019. As part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ 30th anniversary celebration, “Wonderful World of Animation” will utilize state-of-the-art technology for a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation. Holiday foliage continues to be added to the Park’s festive atmosphere. Christmas decorations  have been added to the ABC Commissary que area while hanging plants adorning center stage lamp posts have holiday accents.
