State of the Studios Address Week of December 3, 2018 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Contractor crews have been active since the last skyliner update. Additional site work has progressed including surfacing of  guest walkways that are lined with new palm trees. Roofing and ceiling finishing activity is pictured below along with more outer surfaces being finished in the classic Hollywood Studios color scheme. Click the link below for full coverage.

Construction work continues on the future Disney resort bus arrival and departure areas. Extensive site work in advance of roadway paving is ongoing. Workers are pictured continuing metal structure erection as well as cement finishing activity. Click the link below for full coverage.

Mickey’s of Hollywood is now offering the limited release Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse collectible plush dolls. Recreated from the original 1933 patterns acquired from the Disney Archives, shoppers can commemorate Mickey Mouse’s 90th  birthday with their plush purchase.

ABC Commissary now offers diners a  delicious shrimp teriyaki dinner selection on their menu.  A Ralph Wrecks The Internet themed magic band is awaiting shoppers on The Dark Room shelves on Hollywood Blvd.

Two new seasonal cupcake selections await diners at the Park’s counter service locations. The Olaf themed cupcake offers a rich chocolate cake center  topped with light blue colored  butter cream icing and sugar snow sprinkles. Peanut butter fans will enjoy the Flurry of Fun present shaped dessert with a delicious filling wrapped in a purple coat.

Carthay Circle display windows are now back lit with festive designs. Apparel and accessory merchandise are highlighted with Mickey Mouse and other holiday background images and lighting.

Crews continue forward with new roofing construction as well as additional structural assembly with welding at Batuu.  Photos below reveal a final mountain range surface coating application effort in progress.
