Crews continue site work on the new main entrance guest tram area. Guest loading areas have boarding que railing installation underway along with continued construction of walkways and safety bullards. Installation of electrical wiring for future lighting and ongoing structure fabrication is also visible. Workers have removed a large area of original pavement surrounding the main entrance flag poles. In addition, the guest drop off and pick up area has been relocated closer to the Park entrance. The closure of this dining location began April 28, 2019 through June 1, 2019 for refurbishment . In addition to an interior decor update, guests will be able to enjoy a new fast-casual dining experience with reservations available after 4pm daily. Walk-up diners will still be served, but mobile order will no longer be available for dinner. Guests will find that the current lunch service will continue with walk-up counter-service still offered once the restaurant reopens on June 2, 2019.
Guests can now enjoy a sneak-peak of Disney’s soon to be released live-action “Aladdin” motion picture in the Walt Disney Theater. This 10 minute showing replaces the Dumbo preview.
Workers have returned Mickey Mouse atop the Crossroads of The World at the Park entrance. After a short absence for refurbishment, Mickey once again greets guests entering the Park.
Incredibles fans now can enjoy The Super Shindig outdoor dance party only at selected times throughout the day. This is a schedule change from the initial continuous party event that was originally featured from 10am to 6 pm.
Workers have refreshed the Stage 1 Company Store exterior with new paint. This work was completed in conjunction with the exterior painting of the nearby Muppet Vision 3D building.
